Musician Bios Bios are generally dull affairs, which few find interesting and even fewer read. Wjy? Because bios are usually fluffy ego-packed recitations of past events and previous glories, accolades and accomplishments. For this reason, we've decided instead to reveal our true origins in this space. (No one reads bios anyway, right? )

Brian "Stunner" Elliott is a time traveler who accidentally sent himself back from the year 3333. Until he arrived in our time, his favorite thing to do was tripping around the time-continuum in his small but comfortable time ship operated by sound, and controlled by a guitar-like apparatus. Fortunately for Psychanaut, Stunner created a strange new melody using this device -- the intense sounds of which changed the settings of his time ship and caused him to arrive here in present time. Today his guitar-like apparatus is used to “spacify” the sound of Psychanaut.
Pirate Pete's journey to Psychanaut began back in 1607 when he was forced to "walk the plank" for nipping a bit of the captain's rum on the sly. Luckily for Pete, at that very moment, the ship was passing through an area now known as the "Bermuda Triangle" - and so instead of shark infested waters, he found himself floating forward in a time-vortex! The mysterious vortex transported him across time and space to the Pacific West Coast of America where his musical skills eventually brought him to Psychanaut. Pete's favorite Celtic inspired sea shanties can still sometimes be detected within Psychanaut's sound.
Dr. Berd originates from the planet Hipster-bop, where the entire population communicates by drum signals, strange vocalizations, and sport gesture hand signals. He and his crew were stranded here on Earth when their ship's delicate machinery picked up signals from a "Ducks" game and went off-course. They were forced to engage their invisibility cloak and land in the Eugene Sports Arena parking lot. The entire crew has adapted rather well to Earth life; yet Dr. Berd found himself attracted to Psychanaut because the sounds remind him of the multi-colored singing nebula nearest his home planet.
Sir Ian Finneran was a mild mannered bard of 3rd Century Ireland when was spontaneously "beamed up" by a race of music-loving aliens called the Shylights. The enchanting Shylights welcomed Ian, and he enjoyed playing music in the timeless space with them, until he eventually decided to return to Earth once more. He chose the 21st Century and the beauty of Lane County, where he was soon drawn to the music of Psychanaut for its resemblance to the space songs he created with the Shylights. (Interesting side-note: there was only one witness to Ian's beam-up: a fellow called Patrick who told the story far and wide, and was subsiquentally made a Saint for his “heavenly” visionary abilities.)
Scarlet Jinn was attending a family reunion in the Realm of Fey when she suddenly found herself slipping through a portal to third-dimensional Earth. (This accidental activation occurred because of a powerful combination of rare planetary alignments combined with the wearing of her triple-spiral-portal-controller on a Wednesday - a definite no-no.) Unable to teleport due to the vibrational imbalance of current-time Earth, she set about the task of "positizing" the atmosphere via sound, but could only affect a small area on her own. Scarlet is delighted to have attracted the fabulous time/space traveling musicians of Psychanaut to aid and amplify the quest.
